What are the teams of the Home Care Centers?
Nurses and home-helpers with special qualification for provision of medical cares and social services to older people at home. An obligatory requirement prior to employment at the Home Care Centers of the Bulgarian Red Cross is the successful graduation of a training course provided by the BRC and comprising respectively of 160 classes for the nurses and 120 classes for the Home-helpers. The training programs are licensed by the National Agency for Vocational Education and Training. Trainers in the trainings are lecturers from the Faculty of Public Health at the Medical University in Sofia and members of the Bulgarian Association of Professionals in Nursing Care.
All members of the Home Care Centers have an identification card with photos and stamp of the Bulgarian Red Cross or Lotos-Home Care certifying their affiliation to both organizations.
